Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Performance Excellence Award

Highlight successful individuals, teams, organizations or collaborations that have developed programs, practices and initiatives that foster best in class diversity, equity and inclusion principles, demonstrating results for both internal and external stakeholders. The programs and initiatives must directly correlate with their respective organizations defined DEI core objective(s). New and/or established programs and/or initiatives are eligible.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less stating the rationale for the nomination. The overview should contain details regarding the reason(s) for nomination, and the planning, implementation, and outcomes results of the accomplishment being recognized, as well as the timeline for the accomplishments. Strongest consideration will be given to nominations with demonstrated, measurable outcomes and at least a year of data.
  • Attachments suggested and welcomed.

Healthcare Leadership Award

Recognize a mid-career to executive level individual with a sustained track record within the local community or community healthcare institution, which has fostered advancement of the field of healthcare leadership. This award highlights a Chicago-are healthcare leader who has consistently demonstrated administrative achievement and creativity in one or more of the following areas: development and adoption of best practices in healthcare leadership, successful stewardship of capital projects or significant organizational initiatives, operations performance improvement, healthcare public policy initiatives, professional mentoring, or community leadership or volunteerism.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less by nominator, including reason(s) for nomination, the planning, implementation, and outcomes results, and the timeline of the leadership period to be recognized.
  • Inclusion of a resume or detailed biography is recommended.
  • Attachments suggested and welcomed.

Career Achievement Award

Recognize a senior level healthcare professional who has made a significant impact on the healthcare industry, demonstrated an active commitment to advancing the healthcare leadership as a profession, and who has served as a role model within the organization and community.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less by nominator, including reason(s) for nomination and what accomplishments have been achieved by the nominee that has made a lasting impact on the profession of healthcare leadership.
  • Inclusion of a resume or detailed biography is recommended.

Health Studies Student/ Admin Fellow Leadership Award

Recognizes the achievements of either an outstanding individual Graduate Student and/or team of Graduate Students in a Chicago area healthcare management program that is part of the ACHE Higher Education Network and/or an Administrative Fellow (or Student) at a Chicago area healthcare organization. Applicants will be acknowledged for noteworthy personal achievement(s) such as project formulation and analysis, academic coursework, professional paper publication, or professional and organizational leadership. Professional leadership activities could include active involvement with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) or other healthcare professional organizations.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less by nominator, including reason(s) for nomination, noteworthy personal achievements, and professional and/or organizational leadership. 
  • Inclusion of a resume inclusive of grade point average (if applicable), organization & community leadership is recommended.
  • Attachments suggested and welcomed.

Innovations Award

Recognize a healthcare team, as identified by the team’s leader, which has inspired leadership, change and advancement in the Chicago area healthcare community. This award seeks to highlight successful clinical, financial and/or other management teams within an organization. The winners of this award will be a group of individuals that have established innovative programs, technologies, and/or processes which improved clinical outcomes, achieved other measurable results through quality management, enhanced the organization's revenue stream and/or reduced the organization's expenses while staying in line with the organization's mission, vision and values. New and/or established programs, technologies and/or processes are eligible.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less by nominator, including reason(s) for nomination, how the applicant team supports the organization’s core values as well as including the planning, implementation and outcome results and the relevant timeline. Strongest consideration will be given to nominations with demonstrated, measurable outcomes and at least a year of data.

Service Excellence Award

Recognize accomplishments of a leadership team in the Chicago area healthcare community that has paved the way for excellence in service delivery for its organization. This award seeks to highlight successful clinical or management teams within an organization that have developed programs and/or initiatives that foster an enhanced experience that key constituents have when interacting with the organization. The programs and instituted initiatives must directly correlate with what the organization defines as service delivery excellence. The winners of this award must demonstrate a keen understanding of what drives excellence and loyalty for those that work for and with the organization. New and/or established programs and/or initiatives are eligible.

 

  • Written Statement: 500 words or less by nominator, including reason(s) for nomination, and the planning, implementation, and outcomes results and relevant timeline. Strongest consideration will be given to nominations with demonstrated, measurable outcomes and at least a year of data.

Community Leadership Award

 

Recognize accomplishments of a health care leader or an organization in the Chicago area who has paved the way for excellence in health care service delivery. This award seeks to highlight successful health care leaders that have a demonstrated commitment toward the design, direction and delivery of quality health care within the community. The individual works to connect key stakeholders in bridging the evident gap in the fragmentation of care and delivery of services and promotes education as a measure to strengthen communities. Nominees should have developed programs and/or initiatives that foster an enhanced health care experience. The winners of this award must demonstrate a keen understanding of what drives excellence and loyalty for those that work for and with the organization.

Young Healthcare Executive Award

 

Recognize achievements of an emerging healthcare leader serving in the metropolitan Chicago area. Applicant must not have reached his/her 40th birthday by 12/31/25. 

Applicant must have demonstrated healthcare leadership and contribution to the healthcare community; inside and outside their respective organizations. Additionally applicant must support the profession of healthcare management through participation in local, state, or provincial hospital and health association activities as well as civic/community activities and projects.
